About Katherine

I am an experienced, qualified baby massage instructor, having trained with the International Association Infant Massage (IAIM) in London.  I have held classes across London for many years and am currently based in West London.  I love this rewarding work and particularly enjoy watching the relationship between parent and baby growing over the duration of the five week course, as well as watching the babies enjoy the massage more and more as the weeks go on and the bond grows. Nurturing touch and a dedicated calm time between parent and baby can be very beneficial, and many parents express the value of the space I create, with a connected, safe and supportive atmosphere, using my experience across many fields to facilitate the class. I also love being able pass on ancient eastern traditions within todays western culture.  I have previously worked as Baby Massage Instructor at Neal’s Yard in Notting Hill and the Special Yoga Centre, and within the NHS.

I worked within the NHS for many years as an A&E Nurse, Health Visitor and Nurse Practitioner and have more recently trained as a Psychotherapist and currently work with a wide range of therapy clients, in particular mothers who have experienced a traumatic birth.

I am the mother of two and went to baby massage classes myself with both children, and benefitted greatly not only from learning the massage strokes but from the supportive group environment, and having a cup of tea and cake made for us after the class was always a real treat.
